If you're among the growing community called Christian Management Partners, you'll notice something different about this year's CMP gathering. There's a little less program and a lot more free time and opportunity to relax, and to rub shoulders with others. It's all designed to help CMP members enjoy the CMA conference at their own pace. The newer, more informal approach will help people match their personal interests and faith with the appealing lineup of national Christian leaders, speakers and authors—as well as fellow CMP friends.
"This year, we've added a lot more flexibility," says Russ Robinson, CMP Chairman. "If you want more of a personal retreat, you can do just that and chose the activities that fit you. If you want to stay more engaged in the CMA conference, we've developed a parallel approach which offers that as well."
Robinson gives this quick peek:
Bottom line: "We changed up the itinerary this year to give people more of what they want—more informal time, the chance to hear stories, make connections and learn how their investment in CMA, through CMP, is paying off through the life-changing work of CMA's member ministries."
"My involvement and interest in CMA and CMP goes back many years and is rich with benefits I've received and that those in my organization have received. My belief has been and remains that CMA offers a ministry service to the Kingdom which wouldn't be created if the association didn't exist. Training and networking with other believers in like roles in diverse ministry organizations have been hallmarks of CMA for all of the years I've been involved. I loved my time on the board and enjoyed the privilege of chairing it. The relationships built in those settings and in workshops at the annual conference have been a rich treasure in my life."
