RCLI 2008

Rocky Mountain Regional Christian Leadership Institute

The Rocky Mountain Regional Christian Leadership Institute (RCLI), sponsored by the Colorado Springs Chapter of the Christian Leadership Association (CLA), is a full-day, motivational training conference that provides an opportunity to network and gain the latest information within a variety of career fields for the purpose of excellence in business and effectiveness in ministry as influential Christian professionals.

Experts from across the country provide leading-edge information designed to motivate leaders, managers, and team members toward excellence in both their personal and professional lives while increasing their knowledge base in their particular career fields.

Registration is not limited to membership and is priced to be affordable for church and non-profit staff and individual professionals within secular career paths to benefit from this local networking and career development opportunity. This annual conference provides the quality of a national conference at a fraction of the cost.

Scheduled for September 9th, this year's theme is Going Deeper with God: Empowered to Serve with Excellence. Our keynote speaker is author and speaker Dr. Richard Swenson.

Richard A. Swenson received his M.D. from the University of Illinois School Of Medicine (1974). He currently is a full-time futurist, physician-researcher, author, and educator. As a physician, his focus is researching the intersection of health and culture. As a futurist, his emphasis is fourfold: the future of the world system, Western culture, faith, healthcare and God's sovereignty. Dr. Swenson is the author of six books, including the best-selling MARGIN: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives. He has presented widely on the themes of margin, stress, overload, life balance, complexity, societal change, health care, and future trends.

In 2002, he was awarded the National Leadership Award from the Central States Occupational Medical Association for his original work on margin and overload. In 2003 he was awarded Educator of the Year Award by the Christian Medical & Dental Association.

Dr. Swenson and his wife, Linda, live in Menomonie, Wisconsin. They have two sons, Matthew and Adam, a daughter-in-law Maureen, and a granddaughter Katja Elizabeth.

In addition to the networking opportunities, professionals will present within their fields of expertise 18 workshops divided into six major categories: Teamwork/Collaboration, Marketing/Communication, Financial and Legal, Human Resources, Leadership Management, and Development. For the first time, this year, we have added the option of a half-day Soul Care Retreat during the afternoon workshops.

The conference takes place on the campus of Focus on the Family from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and includes both lunch and a Continental breakfast served from 7:30 a.m.

Feel free to download the poster and brochure for distribution within your organization and church. For printed versions of the brochure, churches and organizations may contact admin@cla-cos.org by August 9 with the quantity needed.

Please join us! And thank you for telling other professionals about this unique opportunity within the Pikes Peak region!
