A Council of Advisors is a biblically sound concept that CEO's who own their own businesses can initiate as one means of accessing ongoing, informed, supportive counsel from selected Christ-centered friends.

What Are the Benefits?

This diverse group meeting periodically can add to a business by offering the following benefits:

  • Source of new ideas and options
  • Sounding board to test a CEO's ideas
  • Outsider-insider objectivity on tough issues
  • Network of help in finding employees, investors, suppliers, etc.
  • Personal encouragement when CEO is down
  • Motivation for the business to set goals, reach for excellence
  • Accountability for CEO to stick to biblical values and a plan

How Do You Start?

The common steps are as follows:

1. CEO assesses his/her own motivated abilities; then determines the types of people to best complement one's own strengths/weaknesses.

2. CEO recruits 2-3 people who will attend 3 monthly meetings; agree to assess the process and value received; agree on any additions to the group; ...
